Study on Antimony Dopant Concentration Under High Annealing Temperature and Its Effects on Morphology of ATO

Abstract

Antimony doped Tin oxide (ATO) nano particles prepared by co-precipitation method with different doping concentration of 5, 15, 50, 70%. At high annealing temperature and low Sb content of < 15%, the powder obtained nanoparticles with uniform size of ~50 nm. Contrary, at high Sb content (50 - 70%), the powder obtained bulk shapes, caused by the excess of Atimony oxide leading to evaporate, which melting point (~600oC) is lower than annealing temperature (~800oC). Thus, the ATO nano particles could be fabricated using co-precipitation method followed by sintering at 800 oC with Sb content <15%
