Abstract

In this paper, a Flame Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (F-AAS) was used for determination of cadmium (Cd) in fertilizer samples of Laocai province. The sample was pretreated by mixture of HNO3: HCl (molar ratio of 1:3) and then dissolved in HNO3 2% for analysis on F-AAS. The validation method was carried out using validation parmeters such as linearity, detection limite (LOD), quantification limit (LOQ), accuracy and precision. It showed that the analytical calibration curve was performed with aqueous standard for Cd within concentration range of 0.02-7 ppm, the linear correlation coefficient R2~0.99. The LOD and LOQ values are 0.0097 and 0.00325 ppm, respectively. In the accuracy study, recoveries were satisfactory (99.20-99.80 %).
