Abstract

The research on manufacturing the agglomerated high basic flux (Fluoride – Basic (FB)) by using domestic raw materials for submerged arc welding (SAW) of low-carbon steel and low-alloy steel is currently an urgent problem of manufacturing welding materials in Vietnam. This paper presents the influence of the flux forming ingredients in flux raw material batch on welding-technological characteristics. The method to determine the optimal contens of the mixtures of the agglomerated high basic flux equivalent to F7A(P)6 according to AWS A5.17-80 is also presented
