This paper presents a new mathematical model of hermetic scroll compressors. Mathematical equations in the model were built based on the study of two important heat transfer processes which occur in this type of compressors: the heating up in the suction and the cooling down in the discharge of refrigerant. An algorithm for solving the equations was built to determine the operating parameters and the loss of the compressors. This is the foundation for building compressors simulation programs in the future.
