The solution for signal processing in online measurement of abrasive wear of profile grinding wheels when grinding the ball bearing's inner ring grove

Abstract

This article presents a solution acquisition and data processing, storage and interface design for profile grinding wheel wear measurement model using a combination of two pneumatic measuring probes in order to evaluate wear grinding wheel on the top of the curving edge shape of the grind stone and the other at the edge of the curving edge shape of the grind stone on the profile grinder that grinds the groove of the ball bearing’s inner ring. The model uses two Pisco's SEU-31 pressure sensors with a measurement range of 1-10 bar, resolution of 0.001 Bar to measure the pressure in the chamber of each pneumatic probe. Their signals is taken at the same time during the measurement process. On the basis of the requirements of synchronization signal transmission the appropriate microcontroller will be selected and the software interface will be developed to handle data, store results and measure online grinding wheel wear on the top of the curving edge shape and the other at the edge of the curving edge shape of the profile grinding wheel.
